A Major Canadian Bank
Project Description
This project involved the architecture and development
of a custom authentication scheme for this Canadian bank’s Access
and Identity Management implementation. This implementation
will service all online banking and business
customers. The custom authentication scheme was designed
to communicate over a SOAP / XML / SSL transport.
Client Objective
- Standardized
web security services to facilitate a more consistent
security framework for online applications.
- Initiate the consolidatation process of application
and business unit-centric user stores into a single,
web-based user store.
- Architect a distributed solution that would facilitate
centralized management and high-performance user access.
- Minimize business outages, and exposures through
a highly available, redundant architecture.
- Provide customer single sign-on

- Architectural design review of LDAP, SSO architecture,
registration services, and migration strategy
- Design application architecture and integration
